"And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same thing. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, in order to receive back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. Luke 6: 33-36 NASB

This passage and many more like it are found throughout the teachings of Jesus and His apostles and provoke believers and followers of Jesus to unselfish and compassionate love toward others, no matter how they treat us. We want to be people whose lives reflect our risen Savior, as we are meant to, hence, 'Imago Christo' or the image of Christ in us. He is the light of the world to all who come to Him. May His light shine in us and through us to others as we minister His gospel.

When believers think of our Lord Jesus, the first thought that should come to mind is His love for us and His love for all mankind around the world. Mankind, and that means you and I, have so turned our backs on God and sought our own pleasures completely apart from God's righteousness. It is called sin. And because Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, He transforms us and gives us His righteousness. There cannot be anything dearer, more awesome than to know He gave Himself that we might have life.

The second dearest thought that we should have of Jesus is our belief and faith in Him. What we believe defines how we act and live. If we truly 'believe' He is the Christ, the Son of the living God, then every breath we take fills us with anticipation of knowing Him more and walking as He walked.

Our Lord is always working into us His very image. He makes and transforms us to be the very image of Jesus Christ. We come to know Him and His heart and love for all mankind. It therefore becomes part and parcel of our own lives to reach out and tell others of Him.

It is these two thoughts that compel us to be ministers of His love and gospel. Please join us as Jody and I work to reach out to the international students that come from all over the world to UTSA, the University of Texas San Antonio. This is an Acts chapter 2 ministry as people from every nation gather here.
